We also tested Nutanix Frame and VMware Horizon Cloud, but it turned out that using Nerdio together with Azure Virtual Desktop is the best combination that is saving us a lot of time (for setup, configuration, and management), but also with this combination we are also saving a …

Licensing is much more cost effective as our users are not regularly using remote access. Having to purchase user cal's "just in case" was expensive. Citrix over the last few years has become more difficult with licensing and support. We were glad to move away. As our users …

1. Overall we had excellent cost reduction after migrating from Citrix. We no longer need per-user CALs, and can scale our environment down to match usage. 2. Since the hosts are in Azure, Multi-session Windows 11 is fantastic. 3. Ability to Scale up to meet usage has saved us during several critical outages.

Nerdio's well positioned in dynamic user count environments, for sure. Or where user's are brought on temporarily and new IT hardware purchase isn't cost effective. If you'd in an environment where frequent application updates are needed, Nerdio handles this with an image model. Less appropriate in predictable, basic computing environments.

Stability and latency complaints are common, but not experienced by all users. A drop in overall productivity can be seen in contributors who rely on a lot of copy-pasting for editing, so some such commands are not instantaneous. Set up is intuitive and the tool is simple enough. It was quick to adopt and stick to.

Migrating to Azure Virtual Desktop can be a daunting experience as you have to instantly get things right for the users. Nerdio makes it a lot easier to understand all the options within Azure that it overlays, meaning you can get up to speed far quicker and with more accuracy

We ran an RDS environment for 20 years and Citrix was always a very expensive option with a deep and rich working environment, however I feel that Nerdio is a far superior product that's been born in the cloud and fits the more modern VDI requirements of businesses. We choose Nerdio on price and ease of use.
