Backupify vs. Rewind Backups

In the past, we have had many challenges. [In my opinion], here are the most pertinent ones: Firstly, [I have found that when] backups fail, there is no notification and it is up to the user to notice. Thus you may well be paying for a service that doesn't work [in my view]. Secondly, Backupify recently moved their platform and the legacy data we had spent 8 years backing up, is no longer searchable as it was before. The most infuriating part of this change, [that I've discovered], was the lack of communication to the user base. It took [us] 6 months with support to understand the exact nature of the change. Also, [I found] that they will not do anything about this apart from add a 'feature request'. [The way I understood] the reply from the CSM was that if we don't like this, we can simply leave. As a long-standing customer [I believe] the way we were treated was disheartening and unprofessional given that you need a backup provider to be with you for the long term. [In my opinion] the change from Backupify to Datto has not been a positive experience.

If your business (or your clients) use QBO using Rewind is an absolute no-brainer in my book. For a modest monthly cost (less than $10 per month per QBO file) you get cheap insurance against losing data and having to spend endless hours re-creating everything. When we use QB Desktop we back up the client QB files for the same reason. Now that things are increasingly moving to QBO we have the same option through Rewind.

• I like that it has an organized and very simple-to-use user interface, with a very striking and colorful appearance.
• The one that allows you to make backup copies in an automated way, leaving aside the long manual process and its wait.
• The one that grants an incredible rewind function that differentiates it from the rest and gives the advantage of reestablishing any unwanted step or change that is not to our liking.
• The one that is a software that not only covers the creation of backup copies but also provides the protection of these thanks to its encryption.

• The interface is a bit slow; it would be nice to have something much more interactive and visually appealing. Not only that, but platform loading times in general can be slow. However, making copies or rewinds flows daily.

Very simple user interface and straight forward to complete back ups and restore. It was very easy to set up and then easy to maintain. It does not require any regular maintenance unless you want to delete out data. I only go in to delete old user data for licenses or to restore

So far it’s been a 50/50. Some issues are ignored, whilst others handled quite well.

The products are very similar. [In my opinion] one would be hard-pressed to find customer care worse than what we have experienced with Datto Backupify.

Trello only has manual backup options, which only save raw data in the form of spreadsheet exports--which would be a nightmare to rebuild into new boards! Other Trello backup options were similar. Rewind is the only one I've found that can recover the boards as they were at specific moments in time (i.e. right before losing data).

• I feel a lot more liberated to experiment with different page layouts and styles without worrying about causing any damage to the shop.
• With the ability to rewind and restore to a previous backup, we have more peace of mind while experimenting with new functionality.
• I don't have to worry about remembering to back up because it does it for me on a regular basis.
