It was built in the cloud, for the cloud, and handles on-premise environments very well. If your environment is lots of physical servers or lots of database servers, maybe start with a slower rollout of Clumio, but do not go with something else. We did look at some of the incumbent on-premise solutions that have cloud-based offerings. They all require hardware infrastructures to accomplish their job, thereby locking you into having to manage and update hardware. Clumio displaces these systems by offering a true cloud-based backup with no need to manage hardware, or maintain hardware, or manage software upgrades.
