Overall Satisfaction with Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup

We moved gradually towards Office365 and started using products like Teams and OneDrive. But the more information you place here, the bigger the need for a backup and simple restore possibility. Enter Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup. It was included in our Total Security offering. I just activated it and the backup was running. Need a restore: easy. I'm migrating with more confidence towards Office365.

Pros

  • Easy to setup
  • Fast since it is cloud to cloud
  • Restore is simple

Cons

  • Maybe a end user interface for restoring
  • Teams backup is maybe confusing since you backup a group instead of a team.
  • Ease of use
  • unlimited storage
  • It was included in Total Security, so pricing was already dealt with.
  • No direct result. Only impact is if you need to restore: it [makes this] possible.
Because it is sincerely good. It just works despite the fact that it is quite a complex infrastructure. But i manage to restore sharepoint items with ease.
I looked briefly at Veeam, but Barracuda is so much easier.

As the name spells out: [well suited for] cloud-to-cloud. You should backup Office365 [and] Barracuda just offers the right tools to do so. And since you don't have to rely on local storage, it is fast and unlimited.

Using Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup

5 - there are 5 users administring, or capable of administring, the product. All data from all users is backed up.
5 - It helps if you know what a backup means. but the portal is dummy proof.

you can't really configure things. But to be honest, that is good.
no. connect your office365 environment and off you go.

  • setting up the backupshedule is surprisingly easy
  • restoring a file in complex products like sharepoint is very easy
  • the first connection towards Azure. But that depends on your expertise.

Relationship with Barracuda Networks, Inc.

It was a bit difficult to find the correct person to talk to. this was because we tried to reachout to the vendor directly and not via our integrator. Best to follow the normal way.
Their support is supperb. They also have a user community that is helping out if needed.
They are very responsive and technical savvy.
we got the product in a suite with our email security. we did not really buy the cloud to cloud backup, but got it in a deal package.
go through your integrator. they should have a direct line with the vendor that is a bit quicker than trying to find the right person yourself.
