Brave vs. Sidekick

Privacy-Conscious Browsing: Brave is an excellent choice for individuals or organizations that prioritize privacy and security while browsing the internet. It blocks unwanted ads, trackers, and scripts by default, providing a more private browsing experience. Compatibility-Centric Requirements: Some websites or web applications heavily rely on ads or third-party trackers for functionality. In such cases, Brave's ad-blocking capabilities might interfere with the expected user experience or functionality, making it less suitable for those specific scenarios.

If you are a professional agency that requires access to a ton of Saas applications like email, accounting, CRM, websites, etc, then this browser (Sidekick) application is the ticket for you. If you like a ton of features for free, this is not for you. I feel It is breaking my bank account. :(

• It is designed to prioritize user privacy. It blocks unwanted ads and trackers by default, providing a more private browsing experience. It also offers features like HTTPS Everywhere and script blocking, which further enhance privacy and security.
• It has built-in ad-blocking capabilities that eliminate intrusive and annoying ads, resulting in faster page load times and a cleaner browsing experience. This can significantly improve the overall browsing performance and reduce distractions.
• Brave Rewards is a unique feature that allows users to opt into an optional privacy-respecting advertising model. Users can earn Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing privacy-respecting ads, which can then be used to support content creators or redeemed for various rewards.

• Makes it easy to find and hide applications
• Makes it easy to focus on productive work
• It is easy to configure
• It has tons of features to make online work productive

• Brave's user interface, while generally intuitive, it could provide more options for customization and personalization. Allowing user to customize the browser's appearance, layout, and settings to a greater extent would enhance the user experience and cater to individual preferences.
• While Brave offers syncing across devices, including mobile platforms, sometimes there are issues with the reliability and consistency of syncing bookmarks, settings, and browsing history. Improving the syncing functionality and addressing any potential inconsistencies would be valuable for users who rely on seamless integration across multiple devices.

• Group applications on the left side of the part (like categories on the bar)
• Make it hard to close a tab when on a session (warn with a "did you mean to do that?")
• Be able to save the session while live.
• Protect all tabs within a saved session without making them little tabs.

When comparing these two, Sidekick was way easier to use and configure. I got confused immediately when trying to set up workspaces in VIVALDI. Sidekick reminded me of ClickUp and was set up within the hour.
