Don't be scared, get Brave

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

There are so many browser options available it's difficult to know which one is right for your business. Our office is all Apple so that was a factor. We tried using Safari for a while but it didn't suit our needs though we did like many of the privacy options. I was listening to a Grumpy Old Geeks podcast and they mentioned trying Brave and gave their positive review so I downloaded it and tried it. Like most new things it took me a while to learn the interface but it was very intuitive. I especially feel confident in the privacy factor which was really lacking in Google Chrome. So far, we've had no issues on any of our client or vendor websites.

Pros

  • Privacy
  • Ease of use
  • Syncs well

Cons

  • I don't know what a perfect browser would be
  • It suits our needs as we feel confident when using it
  • Sorry I cannot think of any flaws

Return on Investment

  • Less workplace frustration
  • Greater sense of privacy
  • Greater sense of security

Brave's Advantage over other browsers

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We deal with highly sensitive data, including proprietary research, clinical trial information, genomic data, and intellectual property. Traditional browsers may expose this data through trackers, cookies, or data collection and Brave allows us to be on the safe side and ensure that our data is kept safe and unexposed. This is important for our ISO certifications

Pros

  • Faster than many other browsers
  • blocks malicious websites and phishing attempts
  • Ad free

Cons

  • It's hard to use the VPN
  • It's hard to use Tor
  • No other complain

Return on Investment

  • Privacy and safety is mandatory via ISO, this increases our market targets
  • It uses low computational resources and is quick

Empowering Privacy and Rewarding Browsing: Brave Browser Review

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Its privacy-focused features and built-in ad-blocking capabilities. By blocking intrusive ads and trackers, Brave enhances browsing speed, protects user data, and mitigates privacy risks. The scope of use cases for Brave can vary depending on the organization's specific needs and objectives. Some potential use cases may include secure web browsing for employees, protection against online threats, and compliance with data privacy regulations.

Pros

  • It is designed to prioritize user privacy. It blocks unwanted ads and trackers by default, providing a more private browsing experience. It also offers features like HTTPS Everywhere and script blocking, which further enhance privacy and security.
  • It has built-in ad-blocking capabilities that eliminate intrusive and annoying ads, resulting in faster page load times and a cleaner browsing experience. This can significantly improve the overall browsing performance and reduce distractions.
  • Brave Rewards is a unique feature that allows users to opt into an optional privacy-respecting advertising model. Users can earn Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing privacy-respecting ads, which can then be used to support content creators or redeemed for various rewards.

Cons

  • Brave's user interface, while generally intuitive, it could provide more options for customization and personalization. Allowing user to customize the browser's appearance, layout, and settings to a greater extent would enhance the user experience and cater to individual preferences.
  • While Brave offers syncing across devices, including mobile platforms, sometimes there are issues with the reliability and consistency of syncing bookmarks, settings, and browsing history. Improving the syncing functionality and addressing any potential inconsistencies would be valuable for users who rely on seamless integration across multiple devices.

Most Important Features

  • Privacy Protection
  • Ad-Blocking
  • Cross-Platform Compatibility

Return on Investment

  • As a normal user of Brave browser, I can share my experience in terms of personal benefits rather than business objectives. Brave has positively impacted my online experience by prioritizing privacy and providing the option to earn rewards for viewing privacy-respecting ads. The built-in ad-blocking and privacy features have enhanced my online privacy and reduced unwanted tracking. Additionally, the opportunity to earn rewards through the Brave Rewards program adds an extra incentive for using the browser.
