Cart.com vs. ecomdash

The Multi-Store eCommerce platform is by far the strongest feature. Anyone who has a direct to consumer business and a business-to-business side should use cart.com. Also, if you plan to grow to a 7 figure business, it is best to start and stay with cart.com because Shopify will get ridiculously expensive as you grow.

It would be well suited for a business that is just starting out with inventory management and sells on multiple channels. They are a growing company that is constantly changing and making improvements. I don't think there is another competitor out there that can offer the same features at their price point. It may not be well suit for large organizations.

• Multi store eCommerce platform is the best part about Cart.com.
• Pricing is a super high value and rewards you as you grow.
• Free templates are attractive.
• The Rule Engine feature is very powerful and we use it a lot.

• Multi-channel inventory sync: automatic depletion and restoration of inventory with sales and refunds, syncing back to all your channels.
• Sales order and purchase order management: keep track of things you buy and sell while simultaneously keeping your inventory accurate.
• Custom upload and export formats: you can make ecomdash work with almost any platform by creating your own formats to upload or export your data.

• The integrations are good, but not great. Shopify is really good at integrations.
• Tech support is fairly slow and it can take several days to a week to get a simple question answered.
• Stronger reporting. It hasn't changed in the last 4 years.

• User interface. The whole thing feels clunky.
• Knowledge-base. Their searchable knowledge base isn't really all that helpful. It feels like it was written as an afterthought.

eComdash always answers our questions, and they have a call-back system to speak on the phone which is very convenient. The people there actually understand the complexities of the software and understand our problems when we explain them. Things get solved quickly and we feel like they care about the speed of the resolution.

I have not had first hand experience with inventory management software like ecomdash.
