Checkster, by Harver vs. SkillSurvey, now part of the iCIMS Talent Cloud

Checkster is best suited for organizations that hire more than 100 applicants a year. For organizations with high turnover, this is an outstanding way to weed out candidates early in the process and make more room for sound decision making with current hires. Organizations with seasonal and or hourly staff would benefit greatly from this application.

SkillSurvey really is great for reference checks and how to communicate with the contacts provided. It's a great way to easy view the reports, ensure that someone is not filling out their own reference information, and being able to contact passive candidates that have interest in your organization. The templates are easy to generate once you use them a couple times.

• It requires extremely minimal effort to start a reference check.
• It is really user friendly.
• It provides an easy to understand report that summarizes the findings of the reference check and overall themes.

• It is very easy to use, so we don't have to spend time training others how to process reference checks.
• SkillSurvey seems to gather many more responses than other vendors used. This is great because it stops us from having to physically call additional references.
• We're able to gather leads from the references who complete the link and opt to be contacted by a recruiter. In the HR/recruitment world, this is seen as free leads!

• It saves us SO MUCH TIME- we no longer have to call up references, type up their responses, clean it up, and put it on a neat template.
• Checkster reaches out to the references and does all the work for you.
• It puts the results in an easy-to-understand report (you can also download the PDF or send the URL).

• We're able to collect more references, which allows us to clear candidates to start their jobs quicker.
• The additional leads collected are sent to recruiters who are then able to have more candidates to reach out to for potential future employment.
