The most appropriate scenarios to implement email security is in companies that want to protect the use of electronic mail since it is one of the security breaches that are currently used to perform any type of attack. I would definitely recommend it for fast and easy deployment with no need of constant managing solution. It is a solid solution that will do all what you need for the email security. Especially when you have a small IT team or even do not have enough experienced specialists to handle email security questions - Proofpoint is what I would recommend to use. I gave it 9 of 10 points only because of the price, you can find find more cheap solutions on the market.

• Outlook integration in terms of a plug-in would be great. Currently, users can't add something to a blacklist or whitelist directly from Outlook.
• Management of the platform is done from two portals the ESA and SMA. It would be nice to have it all in one management portal.
• A quick start management guide would be nice. The manual is over 1,000 pages, so there is definitely a lot of functionality in this service.

Cisco TAC support is very good since they have engineers available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Important to mention that you must have the support of the solution enabled to be able to receive a response from TAC and that we can be taken care of. The only drawback may be that they will not be able to see settings of the email provider you use.

Cisco was at least better than or equal to the others but within our budget. It provided all of the services of anti-spam, content filtering, anti-virus, DLP, encrypted email service, scalability, and more than the others. Cisco name and reputation were also key in our decision.

As already wrote, Proofpoint is perfect solution to be deployed quickly without requiring any additional resources or services. Good email tracking logs, excellent reporting features. Great filtering mechanism. Cost effective pricing.
