Code Compare vs. IBM InfoSphere Information Server

If your developer team is well-versed with standard VCS then I don't think they need this additional software to occupy their memory, they already have those capabilities within all VCS. A well-suited use case can be a team where not everybody has knowledge of VCS but has to collaborate on a project.

Information Server is extremely useful to replace manual developments that require a lot of coding effort. It significantly increases the productivity of the initial development and the future maintenance of the processes since it has a visual development environment with self-documentation.

• Easy to compare files and folders as it provides many features to set different colors while matching.
• Easy to sync local clones with the production system.
• It allows to user to compare the file within multiple windows.

• IIS best for ETL ,not ELT , and many and diffrent source systems.
• It also can process big data , unstuctured data
• It is not only DWH , you can use infosphere for analys and see the bigger architecture of your OLTP systems

• Dark mode would have been a welcome change.
• UI could be updated to latest standard rather than old windows square looking UI.
• Despite being simple to use, a user guide would be appreciated.

• I would be nice to have a new web development environment for DataStage.
• Connectivity Packs such as Pack for SAP Application are a little pricey.
• It is confusing for new developers the possibility of developing jobs using different execution engines such as Parallel or Server.

DataStage is more robust and stable than ODI The ability to perform complex transformations or implement business rules is much more developed in DS

• It helps to save a lot of effort hours as we can synch code with few simple steps.
• Easily to check customers issues with the help of local and production changes.
• Helps to deploy the service packs on a production system.
