For desperate databases, big performance hit could be unavoidable.Web based Sales solutions which could be easily unplugged from big infrastructure and to be used in field with no need of network connectivity or front office availability would be ideal candidates for CPQ

Well suited for Financial management in terms of processes and reporting, well suited for supply chain operations, less appropriate for certain types of businesses, such as rental management.

• Pricing engine is a big plus in CPQ.
• The flex modeling supported in CPQ increases the model efficiency by eliminating unwanted options
• Integrating external tools into selectica by exporting out xmls make it easier

• Synchronizing logistics across sites, warehouses, and transportation modes.
• It reduces procurement costs and gains greater control by automating procure-to-pay processes.

• Model builder's sluggishness.

• Data Integration: It needs to be improved, as it has been weaken over the years
• Cross system integration as a point needs to improved
• Reporting facilities within the system impacts the user experience and performance

Unless CPQ is available on cloud or available as platform as service, I am less likely to consider it again. The initial cost involved is high and also the time required for that.

D365 Supply is the most user-friendly ERP for streamlining your supply chain operations.

I used Saleslogix.

D365 SCM is good for the SMB market. has very good UX and integrates with Microsoft products well. It is easier to learn D365 compared to SAP SCM. It can be implemented very fast compared to SAP SCM. Resources to implement D365 are available in the market easily compared to SAP SCM.

• yes, faster lead conversion as Field sales team rely less on main office
• reduced sales cycle.
• Reduced Sales overheads, deal closure can happen at client location.

• I don't have such Ideas on it , However it has positive response from my colleagues.
