The Dalet Flex (formerly Ooyala Flex Media Platform) aims to connect and power the entire content supply chain, from the initial pre-production through to distribution. It provides sophisticated workflow management, shared metadata infrastructure, and APIs to connect and orchestrate the entire media supply chain. It enables broadcasters, operators, and media companies to import, manage, deliver, and monetize their content. According to the vendor, Dalet Flex has become the media factory…

dscout headquartered in Chicago offers a mobile video research tool, available to marketers coducting research with intended product users in the moment, or conducted via video interview with users.
Ooyala provides the opportunity to scale and manage multiple services and platforms in the organization with its integration services with internal tools like Slack and multiple other applications. Also, it helps you understand the views, reach, and engagement with the videos that help you define your next campaign strategy. In my experience, Ooyala could be less appropriate for managing URLs and unreliability may make you upload videos more than once.

dscout is great for any UX research team. It's especially great for a research team who wants to have a true, meaningful relationship with the people who run their research platform. Whether that's hands-on onboarding, per-study assistance, or being on the cutting edge of new feature releases as a beta participant.

I feel that dscout's level of control over recruitment requirements, quality of research participants, and the UX of the tool itself, is far better than UserTesting for a variety of reasons. I used Great Question at a B2B company so I could recruit customers directly. I loved the CRM portion of Great Question. dscout now offers something similar (Private Panels) which I have not tried. Great Question is also another great company that stays close to their customers and truly listens to their feedback to iterate the product. I haven't used Dovetail in years, but I am power user (and big fan of) Condens. I don't do my analysis in dscout so I can't speak to its analysis capabilities. I do all of my analysis in Condens and Claude. Condens is a UXR analysis tool and repository. They're integrating AI into the product very judiciously, in ways that keeps the UXR in control of the process. Many AI tools and platforms let users just ask for themes and results straight out, so they don't get hands-on with the data and come to their own conclusions. Condens is doing a great job balancing AI capabilities and UXR brain power.

With the dscout MCP I'm able to speed up my UXR analysis, which is what stakeholders always request. For example, I can use the MCP to drop user feedback directly on designs immediately after an interview, then share it with product and design. They get hands-on with the insights in real time after each interview and don't have to wait for the final report. By the time the final report is delivered, product and design feel like it's the cherry on top that ties it all together, but the designs, MVP scope, and roadmap have already absorbed the research insights.
