I did not participate in drools choice. I can only compare drools with the previous situation which was using nothing.
OpenRules provides the non-technical Excel way for a business user to easily modify and manage the rules. Sometimes we found Drools is a little bit overkill for some small and quick projects and we found Roolie is a not bad option as Drools alternative.
Overall InRule has given the best experience keeping all the important factors intact without compromising the quality. Their customer service is second to none.
InRule offers a more organized software design, a well-structured framework in design, and is easier for new users to start contributing given documentation. Drools is spreadsheet-based and lacking the capability to do really advanced pseudo-programming.
Like said earlier the main keypoint being more compute time . This is the single most advantage Saturn Cloud has over others. This enables us to first try and then eventually move onto Saturn Cloud for the work making it a smooth experience and a rewarding one to say the least.
unlike google colab, the free part of saturn cloud is much more robust. I recently tried to train some BERT models with some data, and to be honest, colab was lagging behind in terms of processing and ram. also, the paid part is much more expensive compared to saturn cloud.
