Framer is a zero-code website builder offering a fully featured interactive design canvas that’s optimized for designing sites. Alternately, users can start in Figma and copy to Framer later. Framer features a built-in CMS, and optional premium hosting options with customizable application limits, and no hard hosting limits.
Framer is great if you already use design tools like Figma. It is not necessarily like drag and drop web design tools but it is just as easy to use. It might not be as granular as Webflow, but you can accomplish pretty much the same results.
I have used Figma for designing and prototyping. Framer stands out by combining design, interactions and publishing in one platform. It's built in animations and templates makes website creation faster.
There is a huge difference regarding WordPress and Framer. WordPress does not have too many functionalities where you can play around with this, but Framer does help. You can easily handle everything. They have a breakpoint where you can choose a large or medium breakpoint.

We primarily used Figma for design prototyping and Webflow for turning them into live websites. Framer does it all in the same place without sacrificing design freedom and quality. It's our go-to tool unless clients want something else.
Framer is a very versatile way to design and develop websites. It is very user friendly and it keeps improving. It also has very generous CMS plans for small businesses.
Framer is easy to learn as all of our team members are familiar with Figma and Framer has almost same user interface. Pre built animation and templates saves a lot of time, publishing workflows is easy. I rated 8/10 because mastering advanced interaction may take some time and managing larger projects can be improved.
Framer is a good balance between complexity and price. Wix and Tilda look good for even simpler projects, while Framer offers more sophisticated options. But at a certain point of complexity, as I already mentioned - number of pages, complicated automations- I would move to Webflow. However, if the project is simple enough, no need to be overloaded with a complex platform, and Framer works just well enough.
