GoDaddy Bookkeeping vs. Zeni

Perfect for US market but not transferable to UK market, needs some upgrades for this. Even when set up with a UK address it won't allow changes in tax year end, presuming that tax year starts Jan - Dec. Also shows dollars instead of pounds even though figures were correct with solution.

Zeni is well suited for any organization that needs accounting work. They have been great for us since we are in the SaaS space and they adjusted our accounts to reflect SaaS needs and metrics. So far I think Zeni would be a fit for any size of company. I think it would be great to start out with Zeni so that you have them in place as you grow.

• Invoicing and linking payments to them.
• Creating estimates for my clients.
• Making tax time easier with easy P and L statements and categorization of expenses.

• More complex tax prep features

Loses marks on the tax year only being Jan - Dec and inability to change that to a UK format and choose your year end date.

All I know was I am a victim of ACH through the Zeni system. My business will take years to recover from this fraud.

The Zeni team has always been quick to respond and get on a call if needed.

I already use GoDaddy for a lot of my website clients so tried the bookkeeping out and really liked it! I tried a few others but nothing worth the price difference. I have tried a few other time trackers as I wish I could live track my time vs entering a little a time.

We used Bench.co before switching to Zeni- our books were often not available when promised, we had issues with duplicate transactions, and we had serious communication issues when trying to file our taxes. Zeni corrected our books and got our taxes filed quickly and seamlessly.

• Low monthly cost compared to other accounting software
• Easy to use and learn with
• Gives me the basic numbers I need for book keeping and taxes for a small business

• I believe Zeni was taking my money without permission
• Zeni did not verify the company to be legitimate. They let a gmail address with no website qualify. All they needed to do was look up the real company and verify this is fraudulent.
