HPE Oneview has come along way. When they first put it out it was next to useless. Over the years and versions, they listened to feedback and have made OneView into a truly enterprise-level robust management product. It is now a far better product than the old C7000 Blade OAs, and HP SIM. It makes management of hardware easy and makes much of the maintenance easier and safer than before. For the storage side it does a great job and is intuitive to use, but the very versatility of how you can do things can lead to issues if multiple engineers do things differently.

It streamlines financial reporting, allowing professionals to focus on advisory services and strategic decision-making.Small businesses, nonprofits, and organizations that need regular board packs or executive summaries find Spotlight useful. Less Appropriate: Certain industries (e.g., specialized manufacturing, healthcare, or research) have unique reporting needs. Spotlight’s generic templates may not cover all industry-specific metrics or compliance requirements.

Managing the 3Pard Oneview will allow you to do things like reuse LUN IDs and setup multiple export groups with the same volume. This can cause performance issues, or worse. They could do a better job of protecting you from yourself...

the platform offers a clean, easy to use interface. You can customize reports and dashboard. Integration is also pretty good, you can integrate to Xero, QBO and MYOB and excel spreadsheets. It also offers very broad supporting documents and webinars. There are only two downside of Spotlight; learning curve (it could be a bit difficult at the beginning to learn the system) and price point (For small businesses, Spotlight Reporting can be seen as relatively expensive compared to other reporting tools)

Support and training when we implemented OneView were excellent. We haven't required any additional support since we put it in and configured it for our systems. The OneView systems have been stable through updates and HPE documentation is excellent.

I think Dell is better with its dashboard and ease of use, but SQL Sentry is better at customization. We used Spotlight at my previous company, and SQLSentry at my current company.
