If you are looking for a backup infrastructure which is efficient and compatible for both file system and block level backup, then HPE StoreOnce is a great choice. It's easy to configure and easy to manage. We didn't have to hire a separate storage expert to set up StoreOnce for us. The HPE team helped our system admins and it was a easy to configure.
Read full review We save a lot of money using QNAP for the backup of Virtual machines. We installed a QNAP in the datacenter of our Cloud Provider and the cost of the backup and storage that we use is, at least, 1/10 of the cost that we had in the past. We can choose what kind of drives we can install, so if we want affordable we can use 5400/7200 hard drives, if we need speed we can use SSD drives.

We really like the deduplication feature of HPE StoreOnce. It helps reduce storage footprint by 1:3 to 1:10 depending on type of files being stored. It's easy to manage files on HPE StoreOnce servers using command line options. We use Veeam Backup Server software to manage our backups on HPE StoreOnce. Not a con - but security issues are due to users' negligence. Read full review Likelihood to Renew Hewlett Packard Enterprise

We had couple of incidents so far and HPE support team was very proactive through the process until the incident was closed satisfactorily.
Read full review QNAP NAS is a really good product, but I think the best part is the support for the products. Whenever I have a question or imagine something that won't happen, I can ask the support side. When the support engineer understands what I want to do, he does his best.

Read full review Our historical supplier was a QNAP partner so we started with them.
We resell on request also NETGEAR and Synology. Maybe is for the practice on them but we think that they are easier to use and configure.
The thing i can affirm with convinction is that are realy durable! I think i never repaired a QNAP NAS and, we resell them from about 10 years.
They have all the functionality we ever had to our customers.

While not completely eliminating tape, it has relegated the use of tape to monthly and annual backups for compliance. It has reduced the recurring expense of tape media. It has increased the length of the retention period because of its efficiency in storing backups. The online backup repositories are now replicated to the secondary datacenter, a capability not possible with tapes. Read full review I cannot quantify, but it really saves a lot of money for backup.
