Hugging Face vs. SAP Jam

If an organisation has more access to data and have access to high end computers like GPUs it’s recommended to use Hugging face as it will give better accuracy than any other models. If an organisation having less data and has less access to GPUsis looking for decent performance then traditional algorithms are more appropriate than hugging face

When you need to create a private, secure space for individuals to collaborate or work on a project together, SAP Jam does a great job at bringing people together and giving them a space to work together in. There are also great ways to provide learning opportunities (including sharing webinars or other educational content)

• Easy to setup.
• Template-based group creation.
• Permissions are either inherited or set at the group-level by group owners.

• Most of the Hugging face models are of big size, hence difficult to work if there is no access to high computational system like GPU.
• It’s good to have some visualization tool in hugging face for viewing model architecture.
• I recommend to implement hugging face lite version so that it can run on any system with less specifications.

We are moving toward other platforms that are meant more for virtual community, like Higher Logic. The customer support at SAP Jam is also lacking.

It's an integrated platform that brings together a lot of different people from across the association to work on shared projects, etc. Given the various roles people play and the varying skill sets they bring to the table, the platform is fairly intuitive to use and easy to navigate around

We have to submit requests multiple times to get a response and it often feels like they go into a black hole. Because we don't have anyone in house really supporting the back-end of the platform, we rely on SAP Jam's support and development teams to help solve problems and improve the platform for us.

There are some other services offer similar capacity as to Hugging Face, but not entirely the same. For example, amazon web services have a machine learning service called Comprehend, which offer a set of easy to use APIs to do machine translation and entity recognition and some other common NLP use case.

We utilize many products in the SAP universe of solutions. Not only was JAM feature-rich and matched our company needs, but the tight integration with our other SAP product lines makes admin as well as usability seamless. While other competitors to JAM offer more features that rely on real-time, most of our use cases were asynchronous.

• Hugging Face is cost and time saving.
• Pay is less, you pay what you use, doesn't affect much.
• Overall positive impact on business.
