IBM InfoSphere Information Server vs. Osano

Information Server is extremely useful to replace manual developments that require a lot of coding effort. It significantly increases the productivity of the initial development and the future maintenance of the processes since it has a visual development environment with self-documentation.

Osano is well-suited for startups and small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) due to its low cost and excellent service. The customer support is also commendable. It consistently notifies you of missing privacy policies or cookie compliance issues on your webpage. Additionally, it requires mandatory two-factor authentication (2FA) at login, enhancing security.

• IIS best for ETL ,not ELT , and many and diffrent source systems.
• It also can process big data , unstuctured data
• It is not only DWH , you can use infosphere for analys and see the bigger architecture of your OLTP systems

• I would be nice to have a new web development environment for DataStage.
• Connectivity Packs such as Pack for SAP Application are a little pricey.
• It is confusing for new developers the possibility of developing jobs using different execution engines such as Parallel or Server.

• [I] would like to have more details on what the scripts/cookies are for (it isn't always clear).
• The step-by-step process of classifying scripts and saving vs. publishing is clunky and unclear.
• Some [of the] naming conventions aren't intuitive - compliance mode, strict, passive, etc.

DataStage is more robust and stable than ODI The ability to perform complex transformations or implement business rules is much more developed in DS

I prefer Osano over others for it's easy of configuration and flexibility to adjust language dynamical and legal requirements dynamically based on user device and/or location. Plus easily add team members to help manage the various parts of the software make this a one stop shop solution for our business.
