IBM InfoSphere Information Server vs. SAP Audit Management

Information Server is extremely useful to replace manual developments that require a lot of coding effort. It significantly increases the productivity of the initial development and the future maintenance of the processes since it has a visual development environment with self-documentation.

SAP Audit Management is the absolute best software available for large, multi-national companies that have dedicated internal audit resources. Further, due to the implementation costs, I would only recommend a company to be serious about purchasing this software if external audit expenses were upwards of $2 million per annum. Also, better suited for an organization that already has solid audit procedures in place but wants to integrate them and increase audit efficiency. A company starting from scratch would not value this particular software as much because integration becomes less important in that scenario.

• IIS best for ETL ,not ELT , and many and diffrent source systems.
• It also can process big data , unstuctured data
• It is not only DWH , you can use infosphere for analys and see the bigger architecture of your OLTP systems

• I would be nice to have a new web development environment for DataStage.
• Connectivity Packs such as Pack for SAP Application are a little pricey.
• It is confusing for new developers the possibility of developing jobs using different execution engines such as Parallel or Server.

• Limitation only audit SAP system if organization using other ERP system they may need separate audit management tool.

DataStage is more robust and stable than ODI The ability to perform complex transformations or implement business rules is much more developed in DS

I wouldn't say there is a true peer to SAP Audit Management currently available on the market. SAP Audit Management is the only software that is. It is designed by and developed for audit practitioners across the world. Further, the software unlocks the disparate information for Internal Audit departments and supports audit experts in their day-to-day activities with an easy to use. collaborative, and risk-based approach towards audit procedures.
