Currently, as per RAC configuration, one node RAC or multinode RAC configuration is there. Customers who don't have licenses to run RAC simultaneously in multiple servers at the same time can opt for one node RAC configuration while they can still have the flavour of failover.

  • IBM Sybase replication has been an issue for those who don't [use] MIMIX on their systems to keep the Sybase up to date.

As I am having long experience with this so no doubt, I am very confident for it where I can deploy easily and manage easily in terms of any issues can go with multiple logs and take further actions on it to fix the issue in a swift manner which matters a lot to me. That's why I have given higher priority to it.

Choosing Oracle Real Application Clusters over SQL Server Cluster was actually a business requirement. As the nature of business demanded Oracle RDBMS. As a clustering solution, RAC comes into the picture easily, so it was not a hard choice to choose Oracle Real Application Clusters over SQL Server.
