Ingeniux CMS vs. OpenText Web CMS

This is a CMS solution that uses ASP and now XSLT and ASP.NET MVC environment, so make sure your servers are Windows based. Also, be sure to speak about audits to your CMS environment, this can save you time, money and energy if you intend on developing anything custom in the future. The more prepared your environment, the smoother it is to use this powerful cms.

OpenText TeamSite is well-suited to large, enterprise-wide implementations where customization, content governance, and dynamic content distribution is needed or prioritized. It is probably not ideal for smaller sites with simple architecture and few resources to manage custom implementation.

• Its dashboard is quite clear and visible.
• Its reports are very flexible and helpful for us since they contain all the information that is necessary.
• The content scheduling feature is good in facilitating us by publishing the content at the time we set.
• A content repository is amazing as it allows editing, tagging and managing, and storage of the published as well as scheduled publish content.

• SEO Management - though our courses are not available free publicly but still within our systems a better search engine for the courses and its content could work very well.
• Ingeniux could be more interactive when it comes to exporting/importing documents.

IGX CMS is a stable product and IGX is a stable company with several other offerings that pair with the CMS including an LMS and CRM (among others).

Overall, it's a solid package with the potential to offer much functionality with appropriate resources applied. There are a few issues with the authoring interface that OpenText should address before its a top shelf authoring experience.

Our technical resources engage with OpenText TeamSite so I don't have direct experience. However, critical issues that we need help with seem to get the attention they deserve without issue. However, training and user resources for business owner roles are a bit lacking and some annoying issues with the authoring interface should be addressed sooner.

I have only used the free versions of the other softwares. My Ingeniux CMS experience was much better but I had the paid version

It offers more content editing features at a relatively low cost thus overall deployment is lower in cost. It has great customer support who are always there to support and answer to our needs thus making the process of deployment seamless at every stage and offering training for working with their product.

The annual contract should be clearer in terms of the breakdown of user license types (system admin, admin, regular user, etc).

• Company employees can easily locate product documentation now. Our team doesn't have to field nearly as many pings and calls from people looking for content.
• The writers can manage the content much more easily now. For example, multiple writers can work on individual topics as opposed to passing around Word files.
• We can single-source content that is duplicated across the site. This is a huge time saver.

• We integrated with google analytics, now we have the proper comprehension of our audience data reception and behaviors - we've greatly improved on personalized marketing.
• Quick publication of content across the main digital channels.
• We run our digital campaigns swiftly.
• We've maintained our brand consistency for three years.
