Jhana vs. Nearpod

If you are growing quickly and need to give first time people managers a resource to learn the basics this is a good tool. If you have established leaders this is not a good tool for them. It covers the basics and ABCs of people management and does not go much further than that.

Nearpod works great in any classroom, but the presentation must be projected or each student must have access to a internet connected device.

• There is info on just about any HR topic there is
• There are activities and exercises that can be done

• Allow for the teacher to check for understanding, for the entire class, in one view.
• Present an array of different interactive lesson items, at the fingertips of every student.

• It is hard to make it valuable in a specific situation. One size does not fit all.
• The exercises don't seem totally flushed out

The support staff for Nearpod is top-notch. I have not had technical issues, but I did have a concern about my bill and they reached out to me nearly immediately to address the problem. I was very satisfied with how they handled the interaction from beginning to end. They did a great job.

I have not used any other products like Jhana and I am not sure of what else would be out there. So it is hard to explain how Jhana has stacked up. I would image it stacks up well against anything else. My guess is that other tools feel a lot more corporate.

The custom, integrated, online content, along with school libraries, makes this product superior to PearDeck. Nearpod exceeds PowerPoint because of the ease of use, the student paced lessons, and the ability to embed CFUs.

• The feedback tool allows you to follow students in realtime.
• The shallow learning curve made it easy encourage other faculty to try it.
