Kiteworks vs. Proofpoint Essentials for Small Business

Kiteworks is very good for securely sharing files external to your company and doing so without your customers knowing who each other are. The interface is simple and relatively intuitive. We have had some issues in getting timely support from Accellion this past year, but they seem to be doing better lately.

I would definitely recommend it for fast and easy deployment with no need of constant managing solution. It is a solid solution that will do all what you need for the email security. Especially when you have a small IT team or even do not have enough experienced specialists to handle email security questions - Proofpoint is what I would recommend to use. I gave it 9 of 10 points only because of the price, you can find find more cheap solutions on the market.

• For basic protection, the Solution has an Antivirus, Zero hours Filtering, and Impostor protection.
• Targeted attacks - URL and Attachment Defense.

• Encrypting our files appears to be less than 100% complete
• Software updates cannot be scheduled to take place automatically like their old product
• Detailed activity logging is not available to administrators. You must submit the logs to Accellion for analysis.

The main reason for selecting Kiteworks is that when sharing files with multiple customers, each customer has no idea who the other customers are. To do that in Teams would require users to create a private team for each customer, which would be very [time-consuming].

As already wrote, Proofpoint is perfect solution to be deployed quickly without requiring any additional resources or services. Good email tracking logs, excellent reporting features. Great filtering mechanism. Cost effective pricing.

• Proofpoint Essentials for Small Business has a simplified management.
• It has a Basic Archive and Legal Hold & eDiscovery Management.
• Integrated DLP that gives benefits to any organization.
