Likelihood to Recommend For a small company with little inventory, Lavu is a great simple POS system. For a larger company or a company where items are always changing, I would not recommend Lavu as more transactions increases room for error and ultimately takes away the time one doesn't have to figure out how to reconcile something. Customer service is not always able to fix the problem right away and can take months getting back to you on the reasoning behind a discrepancy in reports.
Read full review I think any business that needs to track its expenses and create a P&L and balance sheet could benefit from this program. Once you get the training on it, it really makes the whole thing a breeze, saves you time, and creates beautiful reports. I don't know any business that wouldn't need it. Maybe if your business is selling one thing, maybe it won't be worth it for you. I think the sales would need to back up the subscription price, so I would weigh that into the equation. But there is nothing R365 doesn't do. It does inventory, it does waste tracking, it gets into the nitty gritty of business.
Read full review Pros The Lavu system is incredibly easy to use in both front and back of house operations. The format of both sides is very intuitive. Lavu makes it very easy to add real life application to teaching inventory control, schedule control, etc. The fact that it is cloud based makes life much easier. I can make changes on the fly and they update very quickly. Read full review Invoice tracking. Expense tracking. Sales tracking. Labor tracking. Read full review Cons Split check credit card transactions, seem to have issues with some of the checks not closing out properly or being charged correctly Servers being allowed to run server summary even though they have unpaid checks (not supposed to happen) Have had the system go out on a weekend and took 20 plus minutes to get back online Calling the help desk on the weekend is a joke, takes 45 to 90 minutes to get help Read full review Credit cards and banks don't always connect, so sometimes you have to manually import transactions or reconnect the bank. When classifying transactions, the program can lag at times. Read full review Alternatives Considered Square has a simpler interface but lower quality reporting for accountants.
Read full review The sales integration and labor integration with our POS is really where it is light years better than QB. Quickbooks is good, but R365 is like QB on steroids. The drill down feature is fantastic, which QB doesn't have, and again, the sheer number of reports and customization is an asset. There is so much customization on R365 that I forgot to mention earlier on. And the level of support! You can go to their online support center and get answers so fast! You chat with a live person, not a bot, and they are real people giving you real answers.
