LightEdge vs. UpCloud

OnRamp is great for medium or large size companies that need to organize information in a way that is easily accessible. It is not great for small companies who don't have a lot of customers.

If you're looking for a cost-effective solution then this is a good choice, be sure to keep on top of your balance! The 100% uptime is also a nice addition, although not unique in a cloud hosting service.

• OnRamp does a great job at pulling up specific contact information about our donors
• OnRamp allows for us to find detailed payment information regarding postings to our general ledger
• It is very easy to run various reports with OnRamp

• I hear complaints from our donations department on how extractions can be difficult at times when pulling multiple years information
• OnRamp can make room for improvement by allowing us to make changes from an admin standpoint on how we pull up certain reports

• The billing reports are quite hard to read, could be simplified
• A control panel function would be useful
• The re-billing process could be better, not so cut throat if you miss a payment!

OnRamp is much easier to use then Financial Edge with its user-friendly interface. Financial Edge seems dated and is much more complicated when running reports.

We trialed UpCloud to see if it would be better than DigitalOcean but for our needs, it was not. On DigitalOcean once a droplet is created, almost no thought needs to go into maintenance, outages, or other reliability-based issues.

• The low cost means you don't really need to worry about pricing
• To us as a business it was not as useful as DigitalOcean
