Lightning Tools Lightning Conductor vs. Mailfence vs. Proton Mail

Having experience of SharePoint On Premise and also SharePoint Online, there isn't an out of the box app/webpart that enables you to 'roll up content' from a variety of source's (in my case SP Lists, but there are many other data sources it works with) across site collections with an easy to use and intuitive interface which is what Lightning tools excels at.

This is a great tool for any business that manages a high flow of emails and communications with both employees and also clients or customers. It is also a perfect tool if you manage private or delicate data that needs to be kept safe, like payment details of clients or business transactions with customers, especially if said customers are other big companies. This tool will make sure to have all the company's information and communications in a safe easy to use place

Good if you like privacy and not having your data mined for advertizing and AI training.

• Filtering for owner/person responsible & due dates
• Ease of end-user filtering on columns
• Color-coding & other formatting

• The contact book is easy to use and modify.
• The calendar allows to share events with coworkers.
• It encrypts information and keeps it safe.

• Secure encrypted email hosting
• Connection with Outlook works well
• Works well on all platforms: web, Windows, MacOS, Android, iOS
• Low monthly cost for email plus all the associated apps

• Calendar/Gantt views
• Complex/Custom Logic

• The interface is too blank, it could be personalizable.
• Fonts and size of text could have room to modification.
• Accessing and sharing documents outside the tool is difficult.

• Exporting email (which I like to do for archiving) is awkward and slow.
• Proton Mail Bridge (which allows access from other email readers like Outlook) sometimes has synchronization issues. Lately these just resolve themselves.

Mostly intuitive and easy to use. A bit harder if you stick with two passwords (one for the account and one for the encryption).

The Lightning Tools support team responds quickly, and team members are very friendly and helpful.

I haven't found another product to compare this one to. Only in SharePoint Online which has a similar App 'Highlight Webpart' ... it's far too complicated to set up and requires learning yet another language and exporting and importing via PowerShell to get any real results that would be useful.

Proton had a wider offering of products like vpn and drive. I ended up paying for a yearly subscription, I liked it so much.

• Policies easier to portray

• It made communication inside the company fluid and easy
• Less time checking various emails or looking for contact's email addresses means more time of productivity
• Better organization means more fluid work productivity and better results with clients
