LuxSci vs. Proton Mail vs. Virtru

Apparently secure website hosting and email. Perhaps could have some better background on common website features.

Good if you like privacy and not having your data mined for advertizing and AI training.

Of all the products out there that integrate with Google, we found Virtru to be the most user-friendly for both our users and the recipients. At the same time, its logging capabilities provide the trail we need for sensitive information. This is one tool for us that has generally been "setup and forget" which helps with the I.T. Dept workload.

• Email filtering sometimes false negatives.
• Sometimes difficulty with tech support.
• Development requests pending for 2 years now.

• Exporting email (which I like to do for archiving) is awkward and slow.
• Proton Mail Bridge (which allows access from other email readers like Outlook) sometimes has synchronization issues. Lately these just resolve themselves.

Mostly intuitive and easy to use. A bit harder if you stick with two passwords (one for the account and one for the encryption).

Proton had a wider offering of products like vpn and drive. I ended up paying for a yearly subscription, I liked it so much.

• Generally, things work.
• I wish they had more info on what I think are common issues with websites or email.
