Mainframe Modernization with AWS (Blu Age) vs. VensureHR

It is well suited for those legacy applications where the business is not running complex financial applications. It is well suited for transport, retail, insurance, and airlines domain. It's possible to convert these legacy applications into moderns one's. There won't be much impact here. It can be avoided for the financial domain applications as it requires deep study of logic, interfaces and dependencies.

VensureHR is great customer service, they process payroll correctly and on time. Benefits are a bit of a struggle but that may be the TPA Sisco. Our new plan year started June 1 and it's June 10 and we still don't have electronic cards and the carriers (Cigna and Sisco) are not updated. In my experience, the ATS was bad, so clunky and not worth the money so we turned it off. But I think the reporting is great and customer service is great - including our Benefits rep [...], she is fantastic.

• Would not recommend this for complex banking applications.
• Banking applications and business logic is stringent. Not an easy job to perform without running the test cases for millions of functionality.
• To get success in transforming the banking applications, Blu Age has to think differently. They need to automate test cases within the tool to know the success rates. Business logic or code might give other results after conversion. Need to look into this aspect too.

AWS Blu Age has technical team with rich mainframe experience and background. They know what business is expecting and how they going to deliver it. The support team is brilliant and contributes a lot in making decisions. AWS was the pioneer in mainframe migration services and there was no doubt in their offerings. That why we stick to them from the beginning.

• It definitely saves a lot for the organizations which is paying huge margins to IBM in terms of total cost of ownership.
• It transforms your application into latest tech where the resource supply is plenty. Resource is easy to find for the support and maintenance activity.
• Business can run longer without losing the customers.

• They do our payroll taxes correctly
• Reporting is great, especially customized, and this helps us present information to our lenders and ultimately gets us more funding
• Benefits costs going up and then not being fully available when the plan year starts is a big negative to our business.
