Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance vs. Trullion

Its well suited for medium and large organizations that needs strong financial control , automated workflows , inter-company accounting and real-time reporting . It works wonderfully with all the Microsoft products . However , it may be less useful for small businesses as it requires a good investment in implementation , customization , licensing and user training

Trullion helped us get our leases in order and provide one place to house these. I like the payment schedules for budgeting purposes, this works well

As the UI is modern and user friendly which makes it easy to navigate . The dashboard , workspace and personalized view helps to access the right set of information with ease

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance is more robust, and can handle larger, more complex business operations, and have better delineation between corporate management and divisions in a company, but it is not flexible, nor easy to change. It is complex, inflexible, and difficult to incorporate new workflows or business rules to accommodate changes in the business. We have changed over the past decade and while F&O is big and robust, it is not nimble.

• Because F&O is not very nimble, we are looking to reimplement
• The lack of interoperability has hindered our ability to use external tools to supplement shortcomings of the product
• The inflexibility has lead to great frustration from team leads

• The calculation for ASC842 is the major reason we are using Trullion, this works well.
• The ease of adding new leases is a positive.
• The idea of having all leases in one spot as opposed to having to search through shared drives and folders.
