Motionsoft vs. Zen Planner

MoSo was a fairly outdated software. However, we may have needed to upgrade to the newest version in order to continue with them which may be the reason that my experience, overall, was not a positive one. At the end of the relationship, the MoSo team became unresponsive with regard to questions about what we were being charged for the service and how deposits were being utilized

I have used Zen Planner at 3 different Jujitsu schools. Every school that has used it, has had great success in keeping their attendance records straight for their students. This is great when promotions are coming up, or special seminars that need to reach everyone. I don't know that Zen Planner is a great product for places that don't need to communicate with their clients on a regular basis.

• Adds products to invoices easily through the user interface
• Adds and cancels customer access

• Payment processing is easy for classes or for a small retail shop.
• The free integrated mobile website is great for everyone to check out the calendar and even sign and pay from within it.
• I can also send emails right from the platform when I need to connect with a student.

• No ability to load information. Everything had to be done manually
• Keeping good track of which entities held Accounts Receivable. One entity would be the parent of the customer and AR would appear under their home location
• Invoicing was very ugly

• The only thing I would like to see, is the ability to see my entire attendance from the app. I can view it on the desktop though.

No questions about that, I'm with Zen Planner for a while! They have everything I need and more.

We ended up moving away from MoSo to Sage Intacct, in which we had a much better experience with the invoicing process and the flexibility. I do not recall what other products were evaluated instead of MoSo during the initial buying decision process, but one of the key drivers for purchasing the software was the ability to cross locations

• Payments are automated, no need to request checks or payments from anyone. Emails are sent out if a payment fails.
• I can keep track of 10, 20, 30, or even 50 students using this platform.
