Beyond that, it has allowed us to configure alerts for notification when there are potential threats (may they be security threats or only application-side problems), and to filter the data for audits and compliance.

I can positively recommend Pantheon to any company for its multipurpose functionality and reliable services. It is easy to work with this tool since it has a flexible UI and a simple operational dashboard. When creating content or editing a template it offers guidelines on how to get the best output. The text search interface helps us to find any content faster across our websites.

  • Have run into issues with prescribed WP updates not working through dashboard and having to do manually.

Pantheon is an easy system, especially to the users with previous experience with other similar platform and the interface is clear enough to easily understand how things operates. On the Cloud deployment everything also works effectively and the technical team from Pantheon community are very helpful on providing the necessary assistant to their customers.

Nagios support is decent. Nothing bad to say about them, but nothing extraordinary too. We mostly asked them questions instead of actively asking them to change or fix things for us. The response time is OK, commonly you can get a response in the same day. You can also call, but they are available only during US office hours.

Even tier 1 Pantheon chat and ticket support are knowledgeable, competent, and useful. They routinely understand and promptly resolve urgent, complex, and/or unusual issues that other hosts need to escalate to tier 2 or tier 3 support personnel. I honestly can't think of a truly negative or disappointing support experience in the years I've used Pantheon hosting for client websites.

Windows Event Log doesn't have 10% of the capabilities of Nagios Log Server. No real-time alerts, no scheduling, no external plugins or APIs. Nothing. The only advantage is that it is a native Windows application.

Pantheon stacks up fairly equally, and we chose Pantheon originally because, at the time of making our decision, they were the best partner for our business size, and who could help us through challenges that VIP could not. Today, we are with VIP as that was a faster and more connected integration to our website's CMS, which is also WordPress, and was merely the choice for us due to relationships our longtime developers had with the WordPress VIP team, yielding us insider discounts and enhanced customer service abilities.

  • Pantheon allows ordinary sites to excel esp if there is consistent development going on behind the scenes.
  • Website management is super easy and the hosting fee gets paid off as you save on developer hours.
  • Expensive for those who are not consistently developing on the platform, there are other options out there at better price points.
