NewgenONE Digital Transformation Platform vs. Nitro PDF Pro

The Newgen OmniDocs is the best option when it comes to storing, sharing, disseminate documents. It is also widely used by the Technical team in my previous employers for storing their technical codes & queries and they have always cast their trust vote to Newgen OmniDocs. I have always recommended Newgen OmniDocs to my auditing, finance, technology and banking sector clients for whom data confidentiality matters more than any other industry. It is less appropriate in the businesses that do not require storing the documents as they destroy the documents once sent to the client to ensure they do not save client information or project. Furthermore, it is less appropriate in almost 50% of India as well as many other parts in MENA region where there is no presence of high-speed internet as it takes high bandwidth of internet to operate.

I run a professional services business from home. I need to edit documents quickly and easily and with minimal subscriptions to minimize overheads. I love that Nitro is a one-off payment to get a license to the software, and you can simply upgrade to the latest version if that's what you want, but you're not obligated to. I've been using the same version of Nitro for 7-8 years now. Despite the fact the upgraded versions have a lot of great, nice-to-have features, the version I'm on still does the job.

• Swift access to documents and repositories
• Makes it much easier to share docs. and collaborate with multiple teams at a time
• Reduce operational cost as well as time to market
• Much easier to store, and retrieve file
• Easy to access it anytime on the mobile
• Supports the documents of all formats
• Easy to learn. No training required

• Ability to combine files SEAMLESSLY and order them around as necessary (so underrated)
• Signing not only for yourself but for others. Helpful for those who have been granted the authority to sign for VPs and directors
• Much easier to use than some other PDF viewing services

• Doesn't operate well in India as the nation has lowest internet speed and it requires higher speed to operate
• Very long queues and slow response when calling technical helpdesk
• Takes time to upload documents

• Converting from PDF to Microsoft Word can be complicated at times. Some parts of a document such as tables are not converted properly.
• Sometimes it appears to be easier to save MS Word documents to PDF rather than using NPS to convert. It can be a bit slow to convert at times.
• In my view, it wasn't user friendly at the beginning.

We will definitely be renewing the Nitro Productivity Suite. Saves the company a lot of money for something we use everyday

For the most part, the entire software is extremely easy to navigate and use. You won't need to follow tutorials or anything for the bulk of the core features, as it's all pretty seamlessly designed.

Nitro checks all the boxes for what we need. It is fairly priced, it allows us to read and edit PDF documents, convert PDF to MS Word and convert MS Word to PDF. It allows us to combine multiple files and do all the post processing like adding page numbers and adding headers and footers

Newgen OmniDocs is the only one I have used

Every 1-2 years will do a check on current PDF options to include trialing the software. Have tried Foxit and several that seem to have failed in the marketplace. Over the last 4 years, I have always stuck with Nitro. Unfortunately, we still need to keep Adobe Acrobat (free version) installed to view a small percentage of some PDFs we receive.

• Faster search with easy to access files which helps me in sending the document quickly to the clients and retrieving it in no time whenever they ask for it. Sending the documents quickly always ensures higher client satisfaction which has great impact on ROI
• Facilitates easy collaboration with client teams and ensures the research project is done exactly as per the client's requirements & needs. This also always makes clients happy and attract repeat projects and more revenues
• Makes it easier for the tech. team to store / save technical queries & codes. Thus, whenever I approach them to make changes in my reports/ articles while uploading it on the website, tech. team does that at much faster pace. This leads in increased efficiency of Content writers as well as the tech. team

• ROI was very quick as the license costs were so low. We purchased 8 licenses versus the initial 2 we were planning on for Adobe.
• More people were able to use the product than we initially thought due to low purchase costs.
• We haven't had any further costs to own the product after the initial purchase. We would need to purchase new licenses if we wanted to upgrade.
