Numeric vs. Redwood Finance Automation

Numeric helps connect our finance and accounting teams like never before. It works for me individually and in a team capacity. Whether tracking my own tasks or checking the progress of other collaborative tasks Numeric has been perfect. The flux analysis has also made it incredibly easy to drill down into details of where our books have changed month over month. As such, I can ask more concise questions of our accounting team.

I have used Redwood Finance Automation for all of these scenarios: transform and prepare the journal entries, SAP document posting, reversals, attachments, job status, error notifications, live tracking, error handlers, resubmission, data transformation, chain diagram of the robotic process development, can use multiple systems, merging, group, Excel conversion, and data storage. Difficulty in REL expressions to use in development for non-IT users. Data transformation requires many steps to add or delete the columns and it has some limitations.

• Makes the organization of tasks super easy to monitor both others and myself
• Flux analysis helps prepare our variance to see where accounts may have had changes we want to highlight
• Is extremely user friendly to update lists and documentation

• It helps through processes standarization
• Implementation of SOX controls
• Takes over more repetitive and time-consuming activities to focus on added value ones

• There are no areas to improve that I can think of. The team is always responsive and really open to my feedback and ideas which I love.

• Business users are not able to understand the errors without IT knowledge
• Better to have more features in data transformer (like Excel Pivot)
• Train all types of users on basic REL expression language to use in development

In the past, I have used FloQast and the UI was not as appealing as Numeric; nor was it nearly as intuitive. I think Numeric is better overall and works well for our team.

It is very well integrated on SAP enviroments.

• It has allowed us to stay smaller as a team as we can organize and check our work more efficiently
• A huge positive impact on letting stakeholders know where we are in the close process

• We have removed the robot from user in terms of people transformation
• Time saving especially at month end to review the financials
• We have identified more improvement opportunities with RFA as per the available features
