Oracle FLEXCUBE is fantastic in almost all areas of banking from retail banking to corporate banking to Islamic banking. The technology stack it runs on is also brilliant however it will be of great help if the installation process is simplified to reduce the time to market during implementation. Also with regards to integrations, there should be more materials readily available for the non-standard integrations like the process of clearing files from ATM/POS

Cons
  • It is utterly non-intuitive and not user-friendly for the front-end user. This applies to v.11.
  • Customization, though reliable, is costly.
  • Millennials have a hard time to adapt to it given that they are used to the intuitive app world.

Support Rating
Implementation support being done by an Oracle partner with less care than Oracle's resource. Most of the resources from the partner are weak in knowledge and we need a longer time to resolve fixes.

Return on Investment
  • A little bit of high-cost investment in both hardware and license
  • High maintenance cost
  • Even at the high cost it has the capacity and allows the bank to integrate with other systems and enable us to go into the Cambodian market faster.
