I am a frequent user of FLEXCUBE, I use it to make development to automate the existing manual processes within the organization. Oracle Application is currently used for various purposes such as HR Module, Payroll Module, and procurement module and makes integration with the other applications/software for the enhancement of the processes.
  • Core banking functionality.
  • Data privacy and regulatory.
  • Biometric face recognition.
  • Need effort for regression testing and impact analysis.
  • Improved on the UX side of the branch channels.
  • Agility in case of multiple customization.
The system is very user-friendly and provides help in performing UAT and making the processes live, payment method opt without interacting with humans. Automation of the processes is marvelous.
  • Flexibility of customization.
  • Interoperability option.
  • Performance and accuracy of the system.
  • Wholesale banking for cash trade.
  • Payments of cash.
  • Treasury and lending.
One of the main reasons to choose the software is to maintain the pre-existing relationship, product functionality, performance, and strong services.

After version 14.4 of Oracle FLEXCUBE, it was the best option for our financial institute. It covers universal parameters of our business needs plus retail banking operations. It is a very stable and trusted architecture banking system. It's easy to use and customization is not a big problem. Learning to develop new functionality according to your business is a big key factor that comes naturally to even people who are not tech-savvy.
  • Retail banking.
  • API integration.
  • Customization flexibility.
  • User experience.
  • Cloud base system.
  • Customer support.

For customization of user/business needs, it is one of the best solutions plus it's reliable and robust. Cloud system is needed according to modern needs.

I support users of Oracle FLEXCUBE, most of my clients are primarily financial institutions. I have also implemented the solutions across banks in the African region. Oracle FLEXCUBE has been the choice for many financial institutions in the [region] due to the fact that it [addresses] both the basic operations and complex operations of banking. It is a robust system, multi-lingual and in terms of the technology stack, it stands as one of the best amongst core banking applications.
  • Scalability
  • Multi Lingual
  • The modules covers all areas of banking
  • Integration with other solutions
  • Reducing complexity with installation
  • Reducing bugs especially those that have existed across the many different versions over the years.
  • Providing a more standardized way of treating common errors e.g ED-12001
Oracle FLEXCUBE is fantastic in almost all areas of banking from retail banking to corporate banking to Islamic banking. The technology stack it runs on is also brilliant however it will be of great help if the installation process is simplified to reduce the time to market during implementation. Also with regards to integrations, there should be more materials readily available for the non-standard integrations like the process of clearing files from ATM/POS
  • User Friendly
  • Scalability
  • Its robust integration options
  • Increase in customer base
  • Huge impact on turnaround time when serving customers
  • Availability and Repiability of the solution

We are using Oracle Flexcube as core baking system. I noticed that it is flexible and parameterized. This can be integrated easily with any other system, is user-friendly and has a good back-end. One thing that I do not like about Flexcube is that frontline system workflow is not really fit for a commercial bank operation, it needs many customizations to fit the bank workflow requirement.
  • Parameterised
  • Flexible product set-up
  • Multiple modules available
  • User-friendly
  • Improve workflow for frontline user
  • Established own implementation resource rather than use a partner
  • It would be good if Oracle maintained a local support office in Cambodia
As I mentioned in the earlier section, this is a good application and parameterized but need more room to improve in frontline workflow and no local support office.
  • A little bit of high-cost investment in both hardware and license
  • High maintenance cost
  • Even at the high cost it has the capacity and allows the bank to integrate with other systems and enable us to go into the Cambodian market faster.
Multiple module availability which is fitted to the bank requirement and this has been used by about 40% of the banks in Cambodia.
Implementation support being done by an Oracle partner with less care than Oracle's resource. Most of the resources from the partner are weak in knowledge and we need a longer time to resolve fixes.

Oracle FLEXCUBE (including the entire suite of related modules) is used in a highly customized environment for accounting and financial operations. It is used for member services and not used for back-office.
  • It's adaptability is useful, and it's customization perform well.
  • It is generally reliable.
  • It is utterly non-intuitive and not user-friendly for the front-end user. This applies to v.11.
  • Customization, though reliable, is costly.
  • Millennials have a hard time to adapt to it given that they are used to the intuitive app world.
Works for vanilla banking needs. It can work with complex operations.
  • Reliable.
  • Needs onsite support, which tends to be expensive.
Cannot compare, but PeopleSoft seems to be more easily customized without specialized external vendors. PeopleSoft has more Oracle partners.
Support is very expensive and not always up to speed with the market and the latest developments. The support is highly fragmented as well and split among 2-3 Oracle departments.
