ParishSOFT vs. Shelby Systems

ParishSOFT is well suited for general accounting purposes and for keeping parishioner databases. ParishSOFT is not as good if you want to export and analize specific data.

The three modules we use are well integrated and work together well. The membership module does not communicate with the financial modules if I recall correctly.

• The only thing I can suggest is frequency of memorized transactions, to allow for bimonthly billing. Right now, the system allows for 26 week cycle.

• Extra key strokes required when searching for account numbers

We have been on ParishSoft for over ten years and it is interfaced with all of our critical systems. We know the system as well as our users. Changes in systems never go very well

The platform is intuitive and user friendly, but it needs work to make it more functional. The ability to export into Excel is there, but the data has to be "cleaned up" before it is usable. It would be great if you could upload data as well as download data, especially in the budgeting files.

If we have had an outage it has never been long enough to affect our business processes.

They are cloud based and ParishSoft has not affected out speed and integration processes.

Sometimes the support team is very busy and can take a while to get in contact with them. When we do, the individual is very knowledgeable about the system and they collaborate with us for solutions

Just like any system, while trying to explain your issue, it was difficult to be on the same page. ParishSoft was very patient through this process

Implementation was seamless. ParishSoft assisted us at the time of downloading our existing information from the system we were on and uploading the information into ParishSoft. We found no errors in the conversion.

The annual renewal of the license for usage of the product is extremely reasonable.

• During one major upgrade to the offering module, we lost a lot of productivity because the changes had not been tested. Until the bugs were fixed, which took several weeks, we had to pay for additional help to get routine tasks completed.
• We completely lost all integrity of our parishioner postings one year because of a "glitch" that ParishSOFT would not support fixing unless we paid an hourly rate...even though the error was on their part.

• Provided us with a means to report financial information to stakeholders
