Paubox Email Suite vs. Proton Mail

It is well-suited where you have access to manage your business's own domain settings. It is well-suited to medical professionals requiring send/receive email encryption of PHI/PII in compliance with HIPAA. It is less well-suited to solo users than group users, due to Paubox's requirement to buy licenses in sets of 3 (requiring you to pay $120x3=$360 yearly for 3 licenses, even if you only need 1 license).

• Only drawback was the actual setup in Outlook was a little tricky. I called support and they made it easy.

• Exporting email (which I like to do for archiving) is awkward and slow.
• Proton Mail Bridge (which allows access from other email readers like Outlook) sometimes has synchronization issues. Lately these just resolve themselves.

Mostly intuitive and easy to use. A bit harder if you stick with two passwords (one for the account and one for the encryption).

Paubox is much easier to use than other software we have tried. Once it's installed, we almost forget about it.

Proton had a wider offering of products like vpn and drive. I ended up paying for a yearly subscription, I liked it so much.
