PR Newswire vs. PRgloo

PR Newswire is the best platform for the wide distribution of press releases. We have been using it to make announcements about our company, new products, new partnerships, and other formal information that needs wider distribution than we can provide on our own. It is not as well suited to more organic or topical information, such as a blog or commentary.

We highly recommend PRgloo to all kinds of teams that require SEO results in a short amount of time, as many of the application-oriented features such as data filtering serve to streamline the work as much as possible. PRgloo is ideal for working in conjunction with online data Analytics management services, integrating with platforms such as Google Analytics.

• Pricing - PR Newswire is expensive. I don't think this is necessary something they need to improve upon as their pricing does include a lot and is comparable to what other similar companies charge, but the pricing structure does price out smaller companies or public relations agencies.

• The templates for working with newsletters are very poor and problematic at a technical level, leaving behind things like the application of attributes that help to filter them properly, and therefore making it difficult to see those of some operations in areas that require quick attention, especially when performing analysis manually.

PR Newswire is an industry leader and gives the user the ability to send out a press release, to a wide audience, very quickly and easily. The pricing is on par with other companies (perhaps they are a bit higher) but they do send useful "visibility" reports after a release is distributed, which is helpful when trying to explain ROI to C suite leaders. You also can email or fax your own distribution list, which is helpful and reduces the need for a media monitoring service

Honestly this is probably the absolute worst part of the company. I had maybe 5 different emails from 5 different people when attempting to use this service, and I never knew who my account manager was and who the other people were.

PR Newswire and Businesswire are familiar, similar products in terms of newswire distribution services. Many times it comes down to client familiarity with one service over the other, the cost per distribution, the reach of distribution, as well as other related fees, i.e., you have to be a member of PR Newswire to use the service and then pay fees on top of that for individual distributions.

• We lost one of our pre paid distributions due to the expiration date
• We would like to see more communication between the client and the representative or account manager
• We have had success in getting larger publications to pick up our over the wire publication

• We recommend PRgloo to quickly achieve a guaranteed increase in profits, usually shortly after starting to implement the use of the service, because through it is not only easier to carry out time-saving analysis, but also to obtain more possibilities when interacting with audiences.
