It has a very good feature of URL replace, it helps us to block or prevent spam, phishing, or malicious emails. It has some limitations like if some large or lengthy emails come it takes more time to scan and to avoid delay it forwards the mail to the recipient with a warning note on it.
PRO: all companies that need an antispam, antivirus. It should not be activated if it is not possible to deactivate the anti-spam provided by the provider. you have to check the in/out of the mail a few days to verify false positives and manage the rules. CONS: It is too expensive for small companies, it's better to use services offered by the mail provider.
The product really does everything it can and offers it very simply. In other words, after using it for many years like us, it feels as if the email system could not exist without Trend Micro Email Security. Using email in a corporate structure without this or any other product is the job of brave people.
FireEye Email Security is the most effective email security solution for protecting enterprises from APT. It is not complicated to set up and you can ride a wave of continuous security effects for a long time without major changes after the initial setup. It's automated, so users don't have to care too much about it. In addition, it provides detailed analysis data, so you can utilize it for 3rd party solutions if you want.
Overall, Trend Micro Email Security does what is designed to do, however, it can be a bit frustrating tweaking the policies to get them just right due to the vagueness of some of the levels of protection available for some of the features (e.g., scales that range from "Low" to "Highest")
The reason that I gave the support a 5 is that I have had both positive and negative experiences. One of the positive experiences was when a senior support engineer spend quite a few hours with me solving an issue that we were having. One of the negative ones was when we were experiencing an issue and one person from support gave one solution, and when the issue reoccurred we were told by another person that what was recommended to us the first time was incorrect. The issue was never fully solved.
As a reseller, it can be difficult to locate the appropriate support number to call, however, once a case has been opened for a support request, it is generally resolved fairly quickly.
It was called Barracuda Spam Filter when we evaluated and switched to FireEye ES (called FireEye ETP at the time). At the time we compared them ES was much better at security and also spam filtering. ES has continued to get even better since we first chose them. The user interface, support, sales/engineer provided service, the effectiveness of the product, and continued improvement/development have made them a great choice.
I think Trend Micro Email Security gave us the best price along with the best overall features. We felt more comfortable using the Email Security along with the other Trend Micro products. It keeps our environment safe and has been a great way to help our end users through email issues. I would defiantly recommend this Trend Micro Email Security product to IT professionals a like.
