AMS360 (Vertafore) - in my experience, doesn't play nice when you have to leave them
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
My agency was purchased and I contacted Vertafore, AMS360, to let them know that the new owner wanted to use a different software package. I further explained that I wanted to stay with AMS360 (Vertafore) and needed to keep them shining in a good light in order for that to happen when the contract with this new other carrier came around again. I appealed to AMS360 and its various people who are in charge and explained the situation and was repeatedly told sorry, but you signed a contract. While I do believe in a contract, I also believe that "good faith" means more about how a company operates in the real world. When you are stuck to your contracts and unwilling to provide real world work-arounds, in my opinion, you become mindless. As you can imagine, this has not gone over well with my new owner. It is costing our agency over $1,000 per month for the remainder of our contracted term. In short, that means in excess of $8,000 total. I was trying to save Vertafore and AMS360 and get them back int he agency and, in my experience, they seem more interested in their short term gains than long term potentials.
Very sad....truly not a company I want to do business with if this is how they are treating their "agency partners".
Pros
- Support
- Processes
Cons
- Cancellation processes
- Desire to regain customer faith
Likelihood to Recommend
If you plan to never switch away from them, then I think they are a great software package. Never need to save money, never need to downsize, never get purchased, in my experience, never, never, never ask for an early termination of a contract. Those are whole lot of nevers.
