Great for Tracking!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Asset Panda to track our trucks and our office assets. It helps us keep track of what is being repaired, what is out of commission and where the trucks are being stored. We are able to store trucks by vin and easily search them to see where they are at.

We can also use this to track remote workers computers and equipment that our company has given to them and when it was given to them.

Pros

  • Tracks Assets
  • keeps assets organized
  • lets us know exact locations

Cons

  • Sometimes search isn't the best
  • It does not tell you if you have double posted

Likelihood to Recommend

It is great to keep track of all assets. I'd like to see a spot where we would put a link to any of our assets with GPS in them, so we do not have to go back and forth. The feature to put serial numbers for equipment is a great feature.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We take the help of Asset Panda to measure assets like desktops, screens, charging points, and external devices. We assign assets to users and track them using this implementation. It makes it easier to keep service contracts and dismissals in place. We conduct research and create reports based on all of the data.

Pros

  • Find the position of assets using their location and synopsis
  • E-signature is used to assets
  • Cloud based tracking from anywhere
  • Assets assigned to users are easily tracked

Cons

  • The picture configuration and organisation of pictures could've been enhanced
  • Users setting up is very difficult
  • Security Sign in is very ambigous

Likelihood to Recommend

Asset Panda, in my opinion, is well suited for even the most confined environments. The software's costing is very viable and well worth the value that it brings to solving a variety of keeping inventory that many businesses face. This item has saved us money by keeping track of assets that would have otherwise been lost or written off. This all is now in its proper place.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Asset Panda to track assets such as computers, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals. With this application, we are able to assign assets to users and track them. It makes warranties and terminations easier to maintain.

Pros

  • Tracks assets assigned to users
  • Know the location of assets by address and description
  • eSign for asset assignments

Cons

  • The SSO setup has some issues
  • Setting up users has multiple steps that could be streamlined

Likelihood to Recommend

We need to keep a detailed asset list for our users so we can track assets and warranties. When a user leaves the company, Asset Panda allows us to give a detailed list of what assets the user signed for and what needs to be returned. Asset Panda also helps with hardware refresh based on the date of the asset assignment.

An Asset Tracking System which makes Inventory a Breeze!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We decided to implement Asset Panda a few years back. We were using a very manual process to track and maintain, inventory, and share our inventory within the IT team. Asset Panda solved a lot of issues that we had and took our inventory to the next level. We now are able to keep asset information like we never have before and are able to search and build reports off of all the data. We now have a solid inventory system that works for us and we are also able to share it with ease and lock down the permissions in any way we want. This tool is a must-have for inventory!

Pros

  • Cloud-Based - I can access it anywhere with an internet connection.
  • Mobile App - The mobile app makes life easier with barcode scanning, searching, and even update assets on the go. The best part of the mobile app is I can now capture signatures for assets that users own.
  • User-Friendly - Asset Panda is easy to use out of the box and can be customized for the most complex environments. We built into our site the ability to maintain our credit card machines and utilize and check-in/check-out tracking system and even built into it the ability to audit the devices for tamper checks to update the tamper check automatically.
  • Pictures & Documents - On any asset I can now upload quotes, internal requisitions, receipts, and pictures with each asset! This makes my inventory a one stop shop for all documentation for each asset.

Cons

  • Time-out settings on the website should be increased.
  • Image structure on the way they organized photos could be improved.
  • Barcode scanner on a mobile device could be improved.
  • Photo editor could be improved.

Likelihood to Recommend

Asset Panda I believe is well suited for even the smallest environment. The pricing for the software is very competitive and worth the value that it brings to solve a lot of problems that normally a lot of companies run into regarding inventory. This product has helped us save money on keeping track of assets that may of otherwise gotten lost and written out. We now know where everything is.

Great for nonprofits

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We currently use Asset Panda to track fixed assets and depreciation expense.

Pros

  • It is great for a non profit organization because you can add any columns you need to the asset. For example, I have added a funding source column to sort different grants that have paid for our assets.
  • Asset Panda provides the depreciation calculation for you.
  • The software is easy to maneuver. It can be easily searched and sorted by type of asset/date or any category you create.
  • You can add and track non depreciable items as well. Reports can be ran for just depreciable assets when needed so this will not interfere with you depreciable asset listing.

Cons

  • When entering dates, the first available date is 2005. If you have assets that predate this, you cannot enter an accurate date. This also interferes with you depreciation in the software.
  • We tag all products with an ID number. However we started also adding bar code tags. Since they were both considered an asset IDs, we lost some of ID numbers when we scanned the bar codes. It was too easy to loose data.
  • I use straight line depreciation so this product is perfect for our company; however, if you added other depreciation methods that may attract more customers.

Likelihood to Recommend

Asset Panda is good for a non profit because you can add any categories to the asset such as funding source, check number, or anything else you may need to track for grant purposes. It calculates straight line depreciation so if you are using a more complex depreciation method it will not calculate this for you.
