We used Azul Platform Core for all our Java products. Azul Platform Core is used as it is cheaper than Oracle and more secure than OpenJDK.
  • Cost-effective
  • Additional JVM arguments
  • High throughput
  • Support from the Azul Team
  • High CPU and memory at times
  • Missing support for some of OpenJDK JVM options
I would go for Azul Platform Core where someone needs secure JRE and JDK at a cheaper price where they can afford some CPU memory spikes. If you are highly concerned about the high availability of systems, or CPU memory usage, then, in my opinion, Azul Platform Core should be avoided. Also, considering what I believe to be their poor support, you might want to reconsider buying this subscription.

  • Delivery was quick and seemless
  • Non at this time
The ablility to contract the licenses was quick and easy. The teams that handled the onboarding and technical questions were knowledgeable and responsive.

Our enterprise application stack is Java and Spring Framework based and we have been using Azul Platform Core for over 4 years. We are very satisfied with their Linux JDKs as they always offer great performance for real-time applications hosted on both Intel/AMD servers. Their Platform Core product is well-documented and easy to use.
  • Always complain about Oracle JDKs.
  • It is optimized for both Intel/AMD server hardware.
  • Up-to-date and easy-to-use documentation.
  • Offer more docker configurations with popular application stacks.
Azul Platform Core is great for running real-time Java-based applications. It is guaranteed Java compliance, so you can swap Oracle JDK with Azul JDK without changing any code. It offers many package types and configuration options. It is optimized and supported on multiple OSs (Windows/Linux/Mac). Their documentation is up-to-date and well-maintained.

We bad a business critical application with a big telco customer which managed billions of messages/day and which had performance problems connected to memory and gc. We evaluated with great sucvess the use of an Azul Platform Core appliance. The replacement was a very simple task with no changes to the original application.
  • Memory management
  • GC
  • Latency response time stability
  • Documentation
Suited: usiness critical applications, very huge memort footprint, GC heavy used applications. Even with bad designed applications that can't be changed it could be a great help.

We use Azul Platform Core to run with our project that requires Java sdk. It is fairly easy to use and has never required an extensive setup. This is why I have always used it for projects that need a Java sdk. Also, it is fairly quick for updating bugs or exploits.
  • Updates frequently
  • Patches exploits
  • Easy to use
  • Nothing really
With my experience with Azul Platform Core Java sdk, I would say it's well suited for any developers who need Java sdk for their project. It is updated frequently and bugs and exploits are patched fairly quickly. I have never used the support, so I am not sure how to review that side.

We run all of our Java workloads on Azul. We have found the resilience, security and speed of their product to be top notch, and the support we receive from Azul has been better than any competitor we've worked with in the past.

We especially like putting huge workloads where giant heaps are needed/advantageous to the problem on Azul. We find that we achieve better stability, better throughput, and more metronymic performance on Azul compared to others.

We wanted to reduce the operational cost for Java SE with an enterprise level solution which provides security as well as different configuration available to import various packages. Azul just fit right to our requirements and we are using it from several years happily.
  • Easy To manage Configuration
  • Secure
  • Compliant to J2SE
  • Definitely helped to optimize the operational cost
  • Should work on providing light weight solutions
  • Compatibility with latest open source solutions
Frankly speaking, we are the happy customer of Azul Core since last 4-5 years. It meets most of our requirements so far an that why we are still using it.

Zulu is very fast modern jvm that very easy to manage and control. I do not know other commercial JVMs that has similar performance. Updates regularly become available that allows us to keep protected from possible security accidents. The documentation is quite often updated and contains all maintenance information. With such high quality of documentation we almost never contact customer support.
  • well written documentation
  • amazing GC performance
  • regular updates
  • qualified and fast support
  • clarification about product differences
  • more frequent QA sessions
  • public price list
low latency java apps
