Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am an employee. I use BambooHR to clock my time, leave notes, correct time, and add vacation or sick time. I have to approve, save, and submit my timesheet. When it gets rejected due to errors, it's sent back to me with an email letting me know what needs to be fixed so I can make the appropriate corrections. I then send it back. It is a great program, and it is easy to navigate and understand.

Flag any days where I am over my 8 hours.
Flag any days where I am under my 8 hours.
Flag when I get to 5 min. or above my time for the day.

Likelihood to Recommend

One scenario where BambooHR is well-suited is for employees who need easy navigation to clock in and track their time. It would be less suited for anyone who is not trying to clock or keep track of their time/timesheets. Or are unemployed, unsure if people who are self-employed would benefit from this program.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The organisation it provides is super helpful in keeping track and invaluable for documenting interactions with employees, we run our payroll through a third party, but would be interested in seeing if it makes sense having it be through BambooHR. Our team is easily able to track reports, new hires, and company wide announcements.

Once you have more than 20 employees it becomes 100% necessary to have an HR program, we operated without for too long and bit us in trying to catch up with the times, the only time it would be unnecessary is if you team is only a handful and is easily managed.

Easy Human Resources program, helps us keeping the team and their holidays, stats, sick days all in order, employees and management are all in the same page.
As well as searching for new employees, hiring and screening, great program!

Managing PTO, organizational structure, BDays, newcomers, docs, some personal info for gifts, and staff. I'm sorry, I'm not sure what else I can add here, as that's basically what we do in BambooHR. At least what I'm aware of.

Pros

Managing PTOs.

Cons

It'd be great not to be logged off every time.
Ability to search for coworkers easier.
More intuitive interface.

It works great for payroll and benefits. I don't really have any complaints. It is a great tool for submitting and seeing approved time off as well. I can easily see all my benefits. I can easily download past pay stubs. It also has a 1-on-1 tool that tracks meetings with managers.

We use it mainly to request time off. It addresses the problem of tracking how many days employees spend on vacation and allows for the creation of a hierarchy so it's clear who should approve the vacation. There is also additional HR info, including the company structure and how long people have worked there.

I think there is nothing obvious, it does what it does pretty well.

It's suitable if you want a simple, reliable HR platform that does what it's supposed to do well. It's ideal if you don't want overly complex integrations, UI features, etc. It's less appropriate if you want to integrate with other services or have very complex workflow setups.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

BambooHR is our primary HR platform. We use it to manage all time off requests, accrued vacation/sick time, supervisor hierarchy and company announcements. BambooHR is also a useful hub to determine who is out at any given time. Since we operate on multiple sites, it is great in the sense that it allows us to determine where people are at any given time with a few clicks rather than having to call around. We currently do not use BambooHR for time tracking.

Likelihood to Recommend

BambooHR is well suited for most companies. The only area from our use case where it suffers would be with respect to time tracking. We often need to use a fairly robust system of cost codes to allocate labour and BambooHR is not equipped for this in my opinion.

We use BambooHR as our central HR system of record. It handles employee data, onboarding workflows, time-off requests and approvals, performance reviews, and reporting. A lot of day-to-day HR tasks—new hire paperwork, PTO tracking, org charts—run through it. The scope is pretty broad across the company.

Bamboo is used in my company for HR purposes, such as employee tracking and goal setting for mid-year and end-of-year reviews. We use this as a primary tool for running performance reviews, and it works quite well because everything is consolidated in one location, and the appropriate staff have access to it.

Cons

Showcase notes in list format rather than bubble/square.
Easier tools to navigate to other pages rather than returning to the home page each time.

Likelihood to Recommend

The best use of it is for employee tracking and vacation requests. It can also be used for payroll; however, my company uses a separate program for that. The best use for it, in my opinion, is staff performance management. All the notes and documents can be added/attached to the employee. You can click on an employee's profile and see what days they have been off, how close they are to achieving goals, etc.

Bamboo is used as our hub for everything, timesheets, pay roll, etc, it simplifies everything into one simple area that makes it easy to understand for all team members while also being very user friendly.

Clockout is great but needs improvement on editing time if needed
Being able to update direct deposit info in the app
