BlackLine is used for reconciliation and task management for our organization. Its used for last 8 years. We have been enjoying the product. One of the improvement we would suggest to automatic and mass document upload feature. Once that is available it will solve a lot of issues and increase the efficiency.
BlackLine is recommended for the reconciliation feature. It is used for the task management as well. It gives a lot of automation feature. It has the AI tool Verify which is coming up. It is audit feature gives complete access to the auditor. It has different roles from Preparer through CFO which helps a lot for the organization.
We use BlackLine for Journals, Reconciliations, Transaction Matching, Task Management, Intercompany and Variance Analysis! Reduces a lot of manual work and saves countless hours. We've been able to close faster and complete account reconciliations more timely and more effectively utilize shared services to complete the work. In my organization we use BlackLine for account reconciliations, tasks and transaction matching. The system supports a seamless close process with visibility to dashboards and KPI's. Along with this we utilize to support our auditor requests by providing them direct auditor access to the system which alleviates the need for the team to pull the detail for audit sample requests. The team assignment functionality is a game changer in allowing for users to easily have backups when they are out or if they are working on something else during the close. The automation capabilities in transaction matching also are a game changer with automating the clearing based on rules and allowing the team to focus on other higher priority items in the close.
