Using Board, teams can automate the planned tasks, activities such as creating, scheduling, assigning, task management, projecting, forecasting and budgeting. It provides analytics and reports. This BI tool is very good product that is user friendly and easy to use.

It has great features with a great service support. You can create reports so quickly with data visualization.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Board is a really functional online forum to have any kind of discussion and threads, which is pretty organized. You get to meet people who are experts in their fields to share their knowledge. The learning section is also really good, with multiple-level plans to ease the learning curve required to gain confidence on Board.

Cons

The UI is really basic and can be improved.
It is really had to find right threads at times.
Ability to attach various documents to the threads.

Board is a useful tool with a great set of features. We migrated from human apps to board and we find it relatively fast in search results and better-managed threads and forums. There are some areas, such as UI and interactions which could be improved but overall a great product. The learning section is also pretty good.

In this case Board can really help maintaining, visualising and use large datasets. Board is a highly unique, effective tool regarding setup and implementation because we can configure a database from scratch easily, and by conducting predictive analysis on our database, we improve results in our organization. Board, as a business intelligence tool, helps our organization to predict problems before they happen by providing faster analysis and intuitive dashboards. In this way, Board helps our organization with data-driven business decisions making.

Pros

Due to top-notch customer support and helpful, knowledgeable staff, integration with our databases was smooth
Using spreadsheets to visualize reports, web-based data entry engines, and clearer insights helped a lot for an effective budgeting process

Cons

Sometimes the software is not so quick during report creation activities. I wish this tool is more flexible and so quick during the creation of reports
Although we can easily set up a database from scratch, I would like more advanced documentation on database design

Fidelity being a Financial Services organization and Mutual Fund manufacturing and distribution company, uses Board for two prominent use cases: 1. Financial Statement Reporting for Regulatory Needs for Europe and UK Business 2. Used by the Quality Assurance team to track Quality metrics which can be drilled down to monitor the performance of any specific team/individual. Quality Team has its data coming in from various sources (like excel, JIRA, etc.), which is visualized and used to obtain insights using Board.

Pros

Board can handle huge amounts of data. It provides the cloud database and Premise Database choice to the customers/users.
Easy connectivity/integration to a variety of data sources like Excel, CSV, Oracle, SQL, etc.
Variety of Reports and data visualisation capabilities.

Cons

Missing Inbuilt scheduler for tasks. Need to import tasks.
Should support multiple pricing models as per company size.
Security/Authentication process and structure is a bit complex to figure out.

Likelihood to Recommend

Suited for faster onboarding for a variety of teams who might be technical/non-technical if they are looking for a low volume of data from a limited no of data sources for visualization. Not Suited for completely non-technicals folks/teams who want to build reports from sophisticated databases.

It helps our team do deep analysis and data quality refinement for the churn rate prediction in the High Networth Individual project. We can further do reporting and analysis and are able to do forecasting using Board for our refined data set. We further share these detailed reports with operations teams/customer relationship teams to retain our HNI customers by cross-selling them relevant products or offering them proactive solutions to prevent churn.

Standardisation of data from various disparate sources.
Depth of analysis and ability to drill down and up to get a high-level and low-level picture of analyzed data.
Variety and customisations in Reporting.

Cons

Quite challenging to work and place various different objects, even after using align for report designers.
Error messages are vague at times requiring additional efforts to find the root cause of the problem.
Learning curve for someone new to platform.

Likelihood to Recommend

Most appropriate for the following nature of scenarios/business use-cases: Producing data for analysis in an easy and fast way. Creating management dashboards to provide visibility of the business trend or any specific visualization. Building accurate consolidated reports which allow for decisions to be made with future projections also accessible.

We have mainly used the Board application to get insight and perform some financial planning in my institution. I find it to be very helpful when generating reports, which always come in great detail and high quality. My supervisors are always content with such reports.

I would definitely recommend Board in most financial planning applications as it offers the best features out there compared to other products. Despite having a nice UI, Board is not that easy to use, especially for new users. This being said, it would be better to start with a simpler solution, then switch to Board when possible.
