BrauMo

BrauMo is brewery management software built specifically for kombucha producers. It brings culture and liquid-starter management, first and second fermentation, HACCP records, inventory and purchasing, and invoicing into one application. BrauMo is self-hosted: it runs on a Mac or Windows computer at the brewery, and the brewery's records stay in a single database file on that machine.

Who it is for

Nano and micro kombucha breweries, growing regional producers, and co-packers and taprooms that currently run production on spreadsheets. Water kefir, jun, fermented vinegar and continuous (draw-and-refill) kombucha are supported in the same product.

• F1 to F2 fermentation tracking: one base ferment split into several flavours, with pH, Brix and TA readings checked against quality bands
• Recipes, brew sheets, cost per litre and yield, with every batch tied to the recipe version it was brewed to
• Tank board with a 90-day fermentation schedule, cleaning status and a floor plan of the cellar
• HACCP records aligned with Kombucha Brewers International (KBI) guidance, with acidification and alcohol as control points, plus calibration, corrective actions (CAPA) and recalls. The records are documentation: BrauMo flags issues and never locks a brewer out of recording.
• Inventory, MRP and purchasing: planned brews are netted against stock and drafted as purchase orders by supplier
• Lot tracing from ingredient to shipped product
• Customers, price lists, delivery notes and invoices, with XRechnung, Lieferschein and DATEV export for German breweries
• Mo, an optional AI assistant that answers questions about live batches and stock and proposes changes the brewer approves before anything is saved. It is off by default and uses the brewery's own Anthropic API key.

Deployment and data

BrauMo installs like a desktop app on Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 11 or later) and 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, works offline day to day and makes no telemetry calls. Phones, tablets and laptops on the brewery network open it in a browser, and a free iPhone and iPad app adds a barcode scanner. Staff working from home connect through a private network such as NetBird or Tailscale.

Pricing model

One flat price per brewery with unlimited users and every feature included, billed annually or monthly, with a 21-day free trial that needs no card. Existing spreadsheets can be imported, or migrated by BrauMo as an optional one-off paid service.
