Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for MFA to log on to our laptops and to get elevated privileges with different aspects of work.

Pros

It works offline. We couldn't get some of the other products, like Okta and Windows Hello, to do that at the time we rolled it out.

Cons

It could integrate better with Azure AD, but I don't know whether that's a product issue, a Cisco issue, or our team's ability to configure it. But it's been a challenge for us.

Likelihood to Recommend

For what we're trying to do. Multifactor authentication is perfectly suited. It meets our needs. If you're on an airplane or if you're somewhere where you don't have internet access, it still allows you to log on securely.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

All employees at our company use Cisco Duo to ensure secure access to apps and data through SSO and multi-factor authentication. The tool makes it easy to verify users before allowing access, thanks to its Zero Trust security framework. With the tool, we not only protect business data but also protect users from impersonation. Passwordless access makes it faster to access business devices and apps.

Pros

The MFA is fast and reliable and fast.
Single-Sign On allows teams to access all apps using a set of credentials.
Passwordless authentication works well and ensures fast and secure access.
Cisco Duo supports remote access security.
The tool supports regular device health checks which includes updates to apps.

Cons

I have experienced push notification failure.
Authentication delays.

Likelihood to Recommend

For secure access to apps and business data, I recommend Cisco Duo. It offers SSO, MFA, and Passwordless access, ensuring teams can securely access business data. It is easy to customize and comes with top-tier security features. It protects business data, apps, and users.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used it as a multi-factor authentication (MFA) and secure access solution within organizations. It helps users sign in to email accounts, the Intranet, and VPN.

Pros

Verify identity.
Verify login.
Second factor authentication.
Keep the account safe from hackers.
Keeps the data and application safe.

Cons

Should have device to device connection ability whereas internet is not met.
Changes of device can be sorted and easily made using a second email address or any other identification method.
Troubleshooting should be easy to sort out. One time, a Duo admin deleted the authentication group, and some employees were not getting push notifications. It was very hard to find out the cause. Duo should have some troubleshooting finder.
Sometimes push notifications are delayed, and the code does not work. At that time, we need to enroll the device again. Not sure why it happens. Duo should give reasons for the error.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well-suited for application logon. I would not recommend DUO as a second-factor authentication method for account logon when confidential data is stored.

Pros

It's fast
It's really simple to install
It's easy to align with Cisco login&password

Cons

I think it's useful
it could provide some statistics, i.e. how many times i used it in a period
layout is poor

Cisco Duo is a good app that has never given me any problems. I find it simple and quick to use every time I use it.The authentication notification arrives quickly, and I haven't had to log in again. I only use it to log in to the Cisco website, so my experience isn't helpful in offering any further suggestions.

At this moment I do not have problem with Cisco Duo product. Cisco Duo works correctly.

Identity users
MFA works perfect
I know when user account was disabled

Cons

Secure of identity.
Now access to mail/exchange is going well
I can manage of users and resovle problems with identity
I have intelligence about devices of users and I can manage (partivual) of it

When I have Cisco Duo I know who and when want to connect to my assets. Cisco Duo allows me to manage and aggregate information about users and devices. What more now security and identity of users works well.

Cisco Duo is perfect for any environment! From protecting a single resource to protecting all the clients of a large MSP. It can be scaled very quickly and administration is a breeze through a single interface. Initial configuration is kept as simple as possible for a product of this nature and the support documentation is ample.

We use it to login to our computers and also login to some of our business apps, it uses 2FA to securely access our accounts and keep our organization safe from bad actors. Highly recommend the product as it is easy to use and works for alot of products and services.

It works well to login to your computer everyday, it helps secure our vpn connections, and also helps us securely login to your systems each and every day. Maybe somethings we login to dont always require duo, but for the most part it really helps our company stay safe and remote into things securely.
