Use Cases and Deployment Scope

ClicData is used to aggregate data across hundreds of data sources for our entire company. We pull in data for multiple departments to forecast, gauge, and help in the decision making process. It helps us reign in multiple disparate sources of information so we can get a holistic, singular view of our KPIs and business metrics.

Pros

  • Ease of use, I can put together a dashboard in about an hour that is used by daily.
  • Support, their support team is super helpful and always has detailed insight.
  • Connectors, they have a huge number of connectors that allow easy integration of your data sources.

Cons

  • Some of the documentation for their advanced functions is lacking.
  • Getting your data to display in the manner that you expect can sometimes have a workaround you need to jump through.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you need to quickly and easily pull data and display it on a dashboard, there's really no better solution out there. We tried the big names like Tableau, Sisense, Microsoft, but they all were really more suited to a dedicated data scientist and had steep learning curves. ClicData allowed just about anyone on my team to start grabbing data and creating dashboards in just minutes, it really is that easy. If you have some very complicated data formulas that you need to use or create it can get a little convoluted...but I'm sure that's similar across the board.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use ClicData to manage employee and company performance. Each director has a dashboard made up of multiple dashboards that manage employee and region-specific performance. This helps our leadership team manage performance in real-time. We also use ClicData to create custom reports that our current practice management system lacks.

  • Easy to customize.

  • More widgets.
  • Sometimes it takes a while to refresh.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The initial benefit was a way to display Key Performance Indicators to different production facilities around the country. The additional benefits gained, because of the flexibility, was the ease in which you can deliver an informative page for any type of platform. A quick analysis to distribute was much easier than Excel.

It is a very flexible way to also distribute the dashboards to any person, whether behind a password-protected login or just for public viewing.

Pros

  • There are many widgets (charts and tables to use for dashboards). There is no limit to the number of dashboards.
  • Data synchronization is simple with their data connectors. Connect to Dropbox, SQL, Google Drive and more...
  • Each dashboard has its own live link that you can set to use forever or have it expire after a given set of time.
  • The flexibility of the product is key. Use of Azure for data storage and data connectivity to just about any type of data source is a big benefit.

Cons

  • I wish there were even more widgets for the dashboards such as calendar layouts.
  • It would also be nice to be able to query the back-end data using SQL Studio.
  • It would be nice to change data connections from the dashboard to dashboard even though they have the same fields and schema.

<p>We used ClicData dashboards in a somewhat unorthodox way: we used "Indicators", or icons within tables to represent data, and the results looked great. The ability to integrate 3rd party HTML into dashboards was valuable (although Clic Data correctly warns that response time may suffer).</p><p></p><p>The ability to start small and release dashboards incrementally suited our needs very well. We also valued the responsive account team getting us quickly pointed in the right direction.</p>
