What is CloneManager?

CloneManager® creates identical copies of critical systems that can be used instantly in the event of a disaster. The live system is replicated to any supported physical, virtual or cloud environment and there is no need to rebuild servers or find and re-load software updates to failover to hot standby machines.

Machines can be migrated from any physical, virtual or cloud environment to any target environment. CloneManager integrates with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Amazon EC2 and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to make migration as quick and simple as possible.

Use cases include migrations from Cloud to different Cloud or back on-premise and continual replication of live machines to a standby location for DR failover.

CloneManager is presented as a lightweight solution that operates through an intuitive console that works by cloning an identical copy of live running systems, and state users have the control and flexibility to move those copies exactly where they want them. Furthermore, with real-time and up-to-date periodic syncs, critical workloads and systems are thoroughly resilient to system disruption.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

When we were migrating some of our on premises workloads to the cloud, we were actively looking for a quality cloning tool. While we do use Veeam for backing up onsite and offsite of our virtual machines, we needed to move live servers to the cloud. This is where we got a 90 day subscription of CloneManager through an IT company and utilised it to move our machines.
